The Story
Prep and Landing is an elite organization whose job is to ready millions of homes around the world for Santa Claus's visit. They are armed with ginger bread radios, candy cane grappling hooks and armed with equipment to check the nutritional analysis of the cookies and milk. When the elves are in their off season from their hi-tech job for prepping santa's arrival, they must find something to do with their time, right?
My Role
I was on a team of designers and animators who had the opportunity to develop several shorts for prep & landing. I was responsible for creating storyboards, visual design, motion design and presentations.
Spa Navidad
Spa Navidad is one of the many locations where elves can go and relax before all the fun begins. I was responsible for the animation, select scene illustrations, adding voice over and storyboards.
Storyboards
Ater many brainstorming sessions, storyboard artists and the the producers created hand drawn storyboards that helped drive conversation and creative direction.
Assets
We were supplied various assets including objects, scenes, characters, 3D renders, hand drawn characters, textures, backgrounds and photoshop brushes to give us enough reference material to create the visuals for the style frames.
Style Frames
All of the style frames were created prior to animation which were then presented to the creators of the series.
